This took 6 hours to type, and will probably take 10-15 minutes for you to read.

Despite whatever I said on this post, which I can't seem to find anymore, it is a free to play game of joining anytime, with the exception of a maximum of 16 players.

Overview
This game is 90% player controlled. The only things I can control is the basic map grids, outcomes of fights, and the limits of what you can do. Basically what this game is is just really customized characters that play on a completely player-controlled story. Just so the game won't go too far out of line and possibly anything that could slow the  of the game, I' gonna set some rules down. If you look down below, what you can do is marked blue, and what I control is marked red. Have fun!

Your Player
You can make anything you want your character to be like (meaning you don't have to be human). Make any spells that you wish to start off with and when you learn new spells. (there must be a good reason though!) You have preset stats to start out with. Note that your max level is 100.

  • HP (Health Points) - Basic enough. If you hit 0, you FAINT, not DIE. Base HP is 1000.
  • MP (Magic Points) - Your amount of mystical energy. Use well. Base MP is 100.
  • EP (Energy Points) - Determines how much you can do for a while. Beware that when you do something that takes more EP than you have, you'll become Fatigue and take damage every turn until it goes up. Base EP is 250.
  • Str (Strength) - How much power you hold. I'll let you figure out how much damage each Str does. Base Str is also 50.
  • Agi (Agility) - Determines turn order. Base Agi is once again 50.
  • Mag (Magical Might) - Take a good look at the difference between this and MP. This is how effective your spells are. Base Mag is 50 again.
  • Rst (Resistance) - The reduction of damage. Magic can get through this stat more than physical attacks. Base is 50.
  • Exp (Experience Speed) - How fast you level up. Might want to think this through: Should I get good stats quicker, or charge up for better stats?
Charge Level - This isn't a stat you start out with, or something that goes up when leveling up. This is simply a stat in battle that doubles, quadruples, or (insert a word that is x8 with 'les' at the end) the effectiveness of your turn. You can reach a charge level of 3. Anything you use that you stated can't be affected by this will retain your charge level. Keep this in mind, and say 'Player charges' or 'Player psyches up.'
Dodge Chance - This begins as %10 and will stay as %10 until you make equipment, items, or spells that change it. You can avoid regular attacks or party-ranged spells.
Block Chance - This starts as %0. You can block just about anything except party-ranged spells.

How much of each you want of these stats is determined by percentages. You can use up to a total of %800, and no less than %50 on any stat. Use a calculator if you must.

Spells and Abilities
Some detail to this. Abilities can use MP, but they are not effected by your Mag. Spells always use MP nevertheless unless you're in a condition where some or all spells don't. Abilities are attacks that require a certain equipment, such as attacking twice with your sword, or multiplying your shields effectiveness. You decide on any of the spell/ability's pros and cons, and I'll rate the MP and EP usage. Also spells, and not abilities, can be used outside of battle.
Note: Please PM me what your spells and abilites do precisely. Don't say, 'a small chance of poison,' but 'a 1/16th chance of poison.'

Maps
Rather simple. It's a 10x10 piece of land that can contain various landforms. I randomize with a generator the basic overworld and dungeon layouts. Anyone else can determine where a vital item is, where a town, cave, or dungeon is, or how many floors there are in dungeons. Remember to read a map location as it's horizontal position as a letter (A-J) and it's vertical as a number. (1-10) If you go outside the overworld map, more land is created. The limit of the overworld is 1000x1000, though I doubt any of you can explore THAT far anyways.

Story
Ding ding. Completely player controlled. Just as long as it makes sense to everyone, go crazy. When everyone progresses, anyone can come up with a conflict at anytime. You all can decide when the story ends and even how it ends. I will stay away from the story, as long as it's not anything like porn or cursing wildly.

Items and Key Items
It can be anything, as long as it's not superpowered. If it is, I won't allow it until you put some disadvantages, such as rarity and self-damage. Key Items is different. It can't be sold in general. These items are linked to the story and if the story has a part where you have to sell it, then they will be sold.

Equipment
Same as items, but I'm just reminding you that it is part of the abilities. Equipment add to your stats (as in solid numbers, not percentages), else they're just large paperweights. Also shields have a Block Chance, meaning exactly anything can be prevented from dealing damage. The block chance limit is %12.5. The following equipment types follow: Head, Body, Shield, Weapon, Hands, Legs, Feet, and Accessory. HP - Rst are solid numbers (for ex. +4 Rst), and Critical, Miss, Dodge, and Block Chances are percentages. You can't modify Exp rate, you cheater!

Composing (This applies for items too.)
This is fairly good. You can get all those useless stupid drops and come up with a good weapon with it. How powerful you can make it could be based on how rare each drop is, what type of drop, etc. So say you have 2 medicines. 325 HP isn't enough, so you decided to combine them! This for i.e. could make a Strong Medicine. It would heal 650 HP in one turn! The time it takes to compose depends on how you make it. If you try to make a weapon with a really hard substance, like Steel, it would take half a day to just turn that steel. But for something as simple as pouring a medicine into a bigger jar with a 2nd medicine, you could make 6 of those in just a 10th of a day. It all depends. Make sure you PM me what it does because it could be overpowered.

Cities/Towns/etc.
Cities restore everyone's stats back to normal. You all can decide if it's for restoring only or is linked to the story.

Money
This is optional. You all can vote if we should have money. If we tie, I flip a coin. If we do happen to have money, we should have shops in the cities/towns, and maybe have our treasure chests filled with money. Also you must name your currency, figuring that having the same thing is a little annoying. (gold -_-)

Buddies/Pets
This is something you can obtain after battle. If the monster you defeated can be befriended, you can have him fight alongside you! =D You can recreate his stats that shall also total %800. They will always be with you and can be a story-based character. Basically, what you're doing is just making another player.

Gameplay
What you've been looking for for quite a while. 'How in the world do you play???' Well I'm gonna get somewhat detailed into this so bear with me.

How to play
Pretty simple. Just post on what you say or want to do. If you don't know what I mean, there's a few examples below. After everyone posts and/or the people that aren't playing are voided, I put up results.

Navigation
Decide if you all want parties. Keep in mind that at boss battles, all parties will have to regroup unless they can't because of the story. Once everyone in your party decides on what to do, the actions chosen will spring to life.

Maps are 10x10 as read before. When your party walks each step, you move through the map by 1 square. Save the game time by having your party choose the destination with it's horizontal and vertical position and say if you wish to go off the map. If your party wishes to run and avoid more battles, everyone in that party will lose 5 SP for every 2 squares.

Day/Night
After a specified number of turns or walking/running, it switches from day to night, or the opposite. This can affect what you decide what is affected.

Battles
'I'm really interested at where you're going. What is the battles gonna be like?' Battles work like this: all the units (players and enemies) get a preset list of turn order which is determined by Agi. Abilities and spells however, can break this by being either first or last. You have 6 options: Attack normal, Spell or Ability, Guard, Charge, Item or Equipment, (yes, you can USE equipment) or Rare Attack. (this is a filter move. Make sure you come up with one at the start of the game, giving your 'ah' power into it. This uses no MP and has a slight chance of appearing in battles) The party can either fight or flee. Damage, critical hits, misses/dodges, and the chances of any status is decided by random dot org, so keep that in mind that whatever happens in battles is not my fault. =I When you encounter a common enemy is decided by random dot org as well.

Examples
Note that these examples are not precise but it should at least show you what the game is like.

Overworld
Player 1: "i think we should move out to a new area at j5. also how do you do caps?"
Player 4: "I agree with Player 1. We should head out there!"
Player 2: "Dude, you're pretty wounded. I need to heal you."
Player 4: "I suggest we run, so less monsters spawn."
Player 3: "No! I must learn how to toughen up because... I don't have a reason!"
RayRay: "Does that make any sense?
The party decides to run to J5 for a new area!"

Battle
RayRay: "You decided to head over to J5 to move to a new area, and got to H5 when OH NOES! A big ol' bat attacked from behind!
The big ol' bat attacked before the party was ready! Player 3 takes 313 damage! SNAP! He faints!
Player 2's Life Ring restores him 60 HP.

Player 1 (Lv. 12): 987/1330 - 94/106 - 13/299
Player 2 (Lv. 11): 765/1131 - 102/160 - 130/166

Player 4 (Lv. 12): 581/1663 - 52/67 - 279/432"
Player 1: "omg a big bat came behind us and made our friend faint. i'll use double stab."
Player 3: "...I fainted? I hate typing in brown. :(" (yes you have to type in brown when you faint)
Player 4: "Don't worry fellow friend, as I will take vengeance on this bat! I will attack with my grand sword."
Player 2: "Dang. Player 3 fell before I saw it coming. I guess I'll attack with my wand to replenish my MP." (yes you can do this. You can do ANYTHING)
RayRay: "A nice choice of attacks!
Player 2 swings his wand at the bat! The big ol' bat takes 76 damage! Player 4 steals 11 MP!
Player 1 uses 4 MP to use Double Stab! The first one deals 285 damage, and the 2nd deals 303 damage. 588 damage!
Player 3 has his face planted on the ground.
The big ol' bat bites Player 4! He takes 208 damage! Player 4's Rare Attack activates!
Player 4 attacks with his trusty sword! CRITICAL HIT! Deals a massive 1284 damage!!
Player 2's Life Ring restores him 60 HP.

Player 1 (Lv. 12): 987/1330 - 90/106 - 5/299
Player 2 (Lv. 11): 778/1089 - 113/160 - 125/166
Player 3 (Lv. 12): 0/1064 - 155/200 - 118/233
Player 4 (Lv. 12): 373/1663 - 52/67 - 274/432 - RA activated"
Player 1: "omg there's a big bat in front of us. i'll attack it with my spear!"
Player 4: "Well that bat bit me from the last turn, and my Rare Attack activated, so I'll use my Rare Attack, Super Slash!"
Player 2: "Creep. Player 4 is low on health from that bite! I'll use Heal on Player 4!"
Player 3: "I have fainted, and I want to be back! D:"
RayRay: "Excellent moves!
Player 2 uses 5 MP and casts Heal on Player 4! Player 4 restores 529 HP!
Player 3 is lying on the ground, so his turn is skipped.
The big ol' bat bites Player 4. Thankfully his wounds were healed before this misfortune! Player 4 takes 219 damage!
Player 1 thrusts his spear into the bat while he becomes Fatigue! It gracefully takes 375 damage! Player 1 takes 62 damage from pushing himself too hard.
Player 4 uses his Rare Attack, Super Slash!! He gathers all his might and tears the big ol' bat in half! The bat takes a massive 967 damage!! The big ol' bat faints.
Player 1 receives 536 exp, Player 2 receives 536 exp, Player 3 receives 164 exp, and Player 4 receives 561 exp. (there's many factors that determines this)
Player 2 levels up! He gains 42 max HP, 10 max MP, 4 max SP, 2 Str, 11 Agi, 10 Mag, and 8 Rst!
The party obtains 118 gold!

Player 1 (Lv. 12): 925/1330 - 90/106 - 0/299
Player 2 (Lv. 11): 825/1131 - 113/160 - 130/166
Player 3 (Lv. 12): 0/1064 - 155/200 - 118/233
Player 4 (Lv. 12): 683/1663 - 52/67 - 259/432"
Player 2: "I leveled up! Also I learned a new move, where I have sent a PM to RayRay!" (Notice that he doesn't reveal the name because I haven't rated the move yet!)

Story + Key Item + Spell Learning
RayRay: "You all lose 5 more SP as you reach J5 and beyond! Player 1 takes 62 HP from trying to keep up when he was out of energy!"
Player 4: "Gyah! We're in a new area alright. A really brand new one..."
Player 3: "Hmm... What's this?" (Note: Being fainted means you can't do anything in battle, but of course you can do everything else excluding spells.)
Player 1: "what is what?"
Player 3: "I found some green key lying right next to this plant."
Player 2: "Cool. I think I see a town at D8. Let'sa go!"
Player 4: "Okey dokey!"
Player 1: "???"
RayRay: "I guess you all decided on what to do.
Player 4 learns Revive! (look up the description on the first page)
Obtained the Key Item Grass Key!
The party heads to D8, not running for Player 1's sake."
Player 1: "oops. didn't know i was tired."

So what can I create and how?
If you don't want me to make the common enemies, please vote! If we tie, I'll flip a coin. Please PM me if you wish to know how to create a certain thing. My copy and paste thing won't bother me, so please ask!

Plug-ins
A special extra in the game that gives battling a whole new meeting. They are expressed via Agates. All players (humans in the real world to be exact) can vote or veto the expressed abilities it gives. You can give me ideas about them, but you can't change any way the battles are played. Also most of my Agates that I come up with will come from main bosses you create, so get creatin'!

I also vote no money and common monsters. And I also wish for you to explain the 800% stat thing more. I think I get it, but not quite sure.

Alright, say you want less MP for Str. That'd make your build something like:

HP: 100%
MP: 75%
EP: 100%
Str: 125%
Agi: 100%
...

You can trade in Stats for more stats you'd prefer. If someone wanted to be a healer, they'd go for the opposite and try to do their job in a good way, whereas another player decides to do the most damage, so he'd trade his Mag and MP for the Str. You can kind of see where it's going. The total can't go over 800%, and if you are under, well that's your loss.

T-Rok

Ohhhhh, why thank you ^_^

Forgot about that part. Sorry. :x

Time for my character! :D

Name: Alvester

Description: Half bat, half human. He looks muscular and hairy. His arms are mostly bat wings and he has a devilish tongue and fangs. Alvester is one of the Talvek race, who are also half human and half bat. Alvester was the prince of the kingdom, and after his father is murdered Alvester is blamed and abandoned from the kingdom, even though he didn't do it. Alvester can't take much damage, but his agility and strength more than make up for that. Night gives him a larger variety of skills.
Note: He hates being compared to vampires.

Stats:
HP 50%
MP 100%
EP 100%
Str 150%
Agi 150%
Mag 100%
Rst 50%
Exp 100%

Skills: (I'm not sure how much they should cost each. Skills in blue can only be used at night.)
Claw (? MP): Deals 150% more damage. Has a 1/10 chance of inflicting Cut status.
Flight (? MP): User takes into the air. In battle, immune to close-ranged attacks and lasts 5 turns. Out of battle, can uncover adjacent unexplored areas.
Agility Up (? MP): Increases agility by 100% for 5 turns.
Sharp Jab (? MP): Always goes first. Deals 200% damage.
Spit (? MP): Deals 50% damage and inflicts Poison status.
Feed (? MP): Deals 150% damage. The damage dealt is converted to HP and given to the user. (Alvester argues that this skill does not make him a vampire.)
Nightwing (? MP): Deals 50% damage and blinds an opponent. Blinded opponents halve a 50% chance of failing their turn. Blindness lasts 3 turns.
Blend (? MP): User blends into the darkness, causing all attacks aiming at him to miss. lasts until user's next turn.

T-Rok

Fffuuudddgggeee. I'm no good at this. I was hoping to just port Ntertain over to this one but its hard. lol

Alvester (Lv. 1) - 500/500 - 100/100 - 250/250
Corrugated Cardboard Box (Lv. 1) - 2000/2000 - 60/60 - 325/325

Alvester has 75 Str and Agi, along with 50 Mag, 25 Rst, and has 10 Exp to level up.

CCB has 75 Str, 30 Agi and Mag, 35 Rst, and needs 14 Exp to go up a level.

Cut and Poison status is currently unknown.

Also sorry for everyone thinking this game is too complex. :P If you don't know what to do, look at 11's post. Perfect example.
