AVG 9.0 - My favorite AV.

It has a few issues for example, if you work with C++ is randomly thinks you've made a virus. :S

Anyway, I've heard about Avast! before, so I chose that and everything seems to be working smoothly.

I use Norton and I haven't had any concerns with it. Runs smooth in the background, warns me if it detects something and deletes it quick. I don't really see why people hate it.

I partly quit SO. I only come online for updates and events. Have a good day. :)

I had Norton on my laptop and it was diabolical, it found 47 risks. I then removed it and installed AVG and it found like a thousand viruses o.O

Ya'll want to know the secret to not getting viruses? It's incredible, I learned it after years and years of personal experience. These five words will prolong the life of every computer you'll ever own: Don't be a !@#$ing idiot. Don't download russian midget shemale porn, don't download hacks for games, and don't download shit from obviously suspicious emails or websites in general. I've been torrenting games without an antivirus or firewall for years. Antivirus programs have always been a pain in the ass for me, whether it's having to disable them every time I want to do something specific, or having to deal with their popups suddenly minimizing my game, it's just aggrovating.

The only Antivirus I've ever liked, that's never caused me so much agony I've rage-deleted it, is ESET NOD32. I'm sure other smooth user-friendly ones exist, but I can't be buggered to try them after the torture Norton and other antivirus software has put me through.

From what I was reading on a test conducted on this year's anti-virus programs, ESET NOD32 was #1, and Kaspersky (what I use) was #2.

Yar!! I probably average 1 virus a year. Because I know what to do and what not to do on the computer. It's really not hard.

I use Nod32 as well. It's great.

sly 3 4 me

Yup, as I stated on the first page on others have also. ESET is the best you could go with probably. I use ESET Smart Security 4. It's nice because it has updates through-out the day that are done without any hassle or manual procedure.
