Title: A good sprite guide?
Post by: Crazy9090 on November 22, 2012, 09:49:53 AM
I haven't been in touch with the SO community for several years, so forgive me if I appear to be noobish.

I'm wondering where I can find a couple of online sprite guides that you guys recommend. I remember there was this guide that everyone seemed to know, but I forgot what that link was.

Thanks guys :)

Hello. Welcome back.
http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11299
and
http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5692
cover the basics.

Theres also a lot of articles-interviews located here: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/news.asp?cat=2294
Each interview talks about specific things. Mrmo's (the latest one) focuses on technique+tilesets.

Thanks, crozier. Those guides are really helpful.
Spriting and music theory will finally pay off when I get to create my own game.

As you can see from my long-awaited reply, I'm not staying here often. I don't have an SO account anymore, though I'll still be lurking time to time. :p
