I've recently switched from Firefox to Google Chrome. I find Google Chrome's loading speed ridiculous compared to Firefox, loading almost every page in a split second. Also I find it more smooth and it runs better on my computer.

What do you think about my decision to move to Google Chrome? What are your opinions about Google Chrome and Firefox? If you prefer to use another browser, what do you use?

I use firefox, google chrome f**ks up on my computer, no idea why. I dont like the layout of it anyway, and my firefox will load everything straight away, unless im shaped (like never now ive got 120gig plan), or torrenting stuff. the torrenting mainly coz my torrent gets main control over my internet incase the computer tries to update or something while im gone.

The only problem i have with firefox is it occasionally decides it doesnt want to load a page so it instantly jumps to a couldnt load page screen, but hitting try again fixes it :P

I have both and Chrome is faster but I still like Fire Fox more. Fire Fox seems more mature and I know how to use it.

Switched from Firefox to Chrome awhile ago, and I thoroughly enjoy it. While Firefox has more maturity and a larger extension collection, Chrome is quickly catching up to it. But hey, as long as it isn't internet explorer, safari or opera, I enjoy it.

Chrome is much faster, particularly on opening a new window. I prefer the layout and the "New incognito window" feature is fantastic for porn on shared computers. Chrome doesn't handle loading multiple pages in multiple tabs very well though.

I'm so cool I use a Chrome skin for Firefox. Or at least I was until a recent version.

Truthfully, I find Chrome loads SLOWER for me. I already have amazing internet, Fiber optics in a small town, which means I'm getting some serious speeds here. Firefox already loads everything nigh-instant, but for some reason, I find chrome just goes a tad slower. Add that to the fact that chrome adds tabs to the VERY TOP of the window, as opposed to the bottom of the toolbar like firefox, makes my decision easy.

I also find Google Chrome ridiculously slow. Especially when I first open it, it takes a while for it to pick up what I've typed in the address bar unlike FireFox. Also I find it extremely glitchy on my computer, like sometimes when I click on a part of the web page in Chrome...the click goes through Google Chrome and into another program I had lying behind it. Also when I alt+tab sometimes half of another program is integrated into Google Chrome. Maybe it has something to do with my computer, or the version I am running, but to be these bugs get annoying.

I use IE8 at work because I have to. At first I was using IE on my personal desktop and laptop. I tried Firefox a while ago, but was not overly impressed. I switched over to Chrome on my personal a little while back and I love it. It has a nice UI and the speed is good. I love that you can pull tabs off of the main window and create other windows with it. The main reason why I like Chrome better is because I use a lot of Google apps and tools and they're more compatible on Chrome. Docs would always screw up on IE8, but they run perfectly on Chrome. Of course, Google could have done this semi-intentionally, but I don't really care. Also, I have not tested any of that on Firefox, so I don't know how well that functions.

But yea, you definitely can't go wrong with Chrome. You have the benefit of the Google development team behind it.

Here are my opinions on Safari, Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.

Safari: The browser on my Mac Mini. It's about as good as Explorer, but easier to use.

Explorer: Slow speed, hard to use, and drives me crazy.

Firefox: Fast and speedy, and has more features than the other browsers. However, I feel uncomfortable using it. There's a ton of buttons, and sometimes I feel like I don't know what I'm doing.

Chrome: The fastest of the browsers I mentioned. It loads everything up in a split second. Also, it's easier to understand and use than Firefox and Explorer. It lacks features though, but I don't really care.

It was a while ago but I was having really wired problems with Google Chrome like it would freeze up and seem slow like you all had. But that seems fixed now. Google Chrome for the most part has been a big success but to not give it all the credit it was being promoted a lot by Google.

I will always have IE and Google Chrome on my desktop or some ware easy to get when I need something other than fire fox. IE has gotten a lot better. I used IE a lot at school and there is nothing wrong with it anymore for me.

Safari on Windows kinda seems pointless. But I know its there just for stile. I may use it one day to check it out.

I do kind want to force my self to use Opera for a week just for fun. downloading it now...

I found IE8 kinda ruined IE... It was much better before. But thats also cause I didn't use Firefox until IE8 came out. The only reason I keep IE installed is because there are still a select few websites that has programs on them that check to see if you are running IE and if you are not you are not allowed to open it.

... And that is the perfect example of bad development.
