Notch and Yogscast butthurt

Seriously guys, what the hell is happening? To sum up what has happened recently

-Mojang invites Yogscast to Minecon.
-Yogscast puts a video up to an audience with some kids in it
-The video contains swear words like "!@#$" and some parents complan
-Notch says he'll never work with Yogscast again
-More stories arise, one where Yogscast said they would cross out a signature from Notch on a kid's item and write "!@#$ you"
-Notch sends out more tweets and such while fans from both sides have buttpain
-TotalBiscuit joins the fray and sides with Yogscast
-Yogscast says they will do a vlog explaining everything when they get to London

That's what has happened so far.

Guess what, you want sales?  You don't side with your morals, you side with your customers'.  Why do you think McDonald's is so successful and one of, if not the largest international conglomerates of the fast food industry, grossing more annual revenue than any other fast food chain?  Because they tell the fat customers to go eat a carrot out of Peter Cottontails mystical Easter garden?  They've adapted the motto of "The customer is always right."

I don't blame Notch one ounce for taking that action.  Heck, if anything (if not trivial to begin with), I side with Notch based off the lack of maturity from the other side.  Notch was approached by parents with pitch-forks, he had to make a decision, and coming back with "Can't we all get along" never solves anything (ask Israel).  If I wanted to hang with a crew of personalities, I'd rather side with those that are level headed, not those that promise to do childish things like cross out signatures of fans as a malicious gesture of "Gotchya good chicken-!@#$er!".  I'm sure Notch will hook that kid up as another passive and humorous "eff you".

EDIT: Then again, if I missed anything obvious (the above articles were either inaccessible or hard to transcribe at times), please feel free to inform me otherwise.  Honestly.

Overall though, I feel that Notch is making a huge fuss over cussing. They're kids, but they're probably not 3-4, innocent and all. I mean, the age range that learns cuss words is getting lower with each generation. Kids as low as 10 include them in regular vocabulary.

But as Scotty said, Notch sides where the money's at, which is located in the wallets of the adults.

I never seen anything official about that what exaty they he was mad at or the things he said about how yogs singed that kids thing.

Non the less we really only have notches side. And non of this really effects anything anyway. Just people (notch and yogs i mean) new to this stuff that when they talk online are heard by thousands.

Yeah I am gonna have to side with Notch. I am a yogscast watcher, but if I remember they started playing Minecraft like right after it went into Beta. Minecraft was already hugely popular before that point and they didn't have that big of an impact on the sales. (I beleive)

Yogscast has responded. Honestly, I'm with Yogscast at this point...they haven't insulted anyone and there is zero evidence for anything they did, whereas Notch just went off rumors.

Yea, what I was about to say... It sounds like it was just a big misunderstanding and sometimes you can't help but complain about it before calming down, sleeping on it and then talking to the other party involved before telling everyone else about it. Sounds like they both realize it's a big misunderstanding...
