Xbox 360 Won't Work

Alright so I was playing Oblivion on my Xbox 360 when suddenly the screen flickered, followed by a power surge that lasted a split second. Everything in the house came back to life shortly afterward, except for the Xbox 360. It won't respond to my controller and the power button on the console isn't working either. I tried to unplug the Xbox 360 for a few minutes, but that did no good. It just won't turn on. It doesn't show the Red Ring of Death, though.

I'm not a mechanic at all, so can you help me solve this problem?

EDIT: Nevermind. I unplugged it from the outlet and plugged it back in and now it works fine.
