Questions about items and what not?

So I used to play stick online ALOT back in the day. I haven't played in a few years and I forgot how to see item stats? If you can anyways. Like how do I know what the hats do? Is there an item list somewhere or anything like that? If there is could someone hook me up with a link. It would be appreciated thanks.
