Title: Blockster 2: Work in Progress
Post by: 11clock on August 29, 2010, 12:39:28 PM
Several months ago I released Blockster, a game based on my first ever attempt at game making. The link to the game here: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/115240-blockster

Blockster is a platform game that's supposed to be plain and simple. Simple graphics, simple controls, and fun gameplay. It's based on my first ever attempt at game making that I never released cause it stunk. It has 7 worlds, each with 3 levels and a boss. The platform mechanics are not complex.

I looked back at Blockster and was thinking about making a sequel. Here is the result of my thoughts: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/142322-blockster-2

It's the ultimate sequel to Blockster with better graphics and more fun elements. The bosses are vastly improved from the first game. The story line is almost exactly the same, but the evil villain this time around is a shadowy figure known as Sophie. She was the fourth boss in the first game and I brought her back as the main bad guy!

Right now the game has only 2 worlds, each with 2 levels and a boss. The first world is similar to the first world of the first game. However the second world introduces crates and explosive enemies. Expect for me to add more to the game. The goal is 10 unique worlds to explore!

Blockster 2 is focused towards the hardcore gamer audience, though it doesn't look like it at first. Later on in the game it will be extremely challenging!

This topic actually would belong in the Video Games section. Unfortunately, seeing as the guidelines for that section state that you are not suppose to post/promote personal projects, I gotta go ahead and close the topic (see http://www.stick-online.com/boards/index.php?topic=319.0 (http://www.stick-online.com/boards/index.php?topic=319.0) for more info). I do however wish you the best of luck with your project.
