Clothes can also be recycled into other useful things, so I would be concerned about this as well.

Consider the following scenarios...

You could come across someone else's clothes to make use of.
You get new clothes or armor and you don't want to waste what you no longer need to wear.
You're just short on supplies and might have to go without a shirt, and you could use it as part of a weapon or something.
Heck, if you wanted to get really creative, you could turn a set of clothes into camouflage in order to hide from other players or monsters.
