I made 10 poems, of varying types. I would like to share them. If you have some you want to share, then please do.

This topic is for criticism, posting poems, and anything else poem related I suppose. Just use common sense.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Free Verse
Title: Leaves

Leaves, leaves, everywhere,
the autumn breeze is in the air.

Leaves fall without a sound,
the leaves come to town.

The leaves change color from brown, yellow, and even red.
When winter comes, they will all be dead.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Cinquain
Title: Primrose

Budded
Flowers, blooming.
in the great spring-filled sky.
Colors developing swiftly,
at dawn.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Tanka
Title: None

Embrace the warm heat.
Of the raging inferno.
Watching carefully.
From getting close to the fire.
Skin ebbs from the searing flame.

Poem: Limerick
Title: Moving to Sicily

John Turk was moving to Sicily,
When driving got him a twisted knee.
The pain caused him to turn,
Which had caused him to learn,
Do look, and you will hopefully see.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Haiku
Title: None

Isolated snow,
under an evergreen tree
melting quietly.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Epitaph
Title: None

My son was in grave danger,
from the minute he saw that stranger.
My life, be what I wager,
to fight this man, with all my anger.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Diamante
Title: Sun & Moon

.........Sun
.....Bright, Warm
Shining, Glowing, Lighting
.Hue, Hot, Dark, Shadow,
Looming, Illuminating, glistening
....night, twilight,
.........Moon

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Acrostic Poem
Title: Martyr

May we remember,
Another to fight for.
Regretting your death.
Tonight, is a sad one.
You will not die in vain,
Reinforcing our will to fight.

--------------------------------------------

Poem: Shape Poem
Title: Hourglass

A hourglass tells time
.in specific amounts.
..usually involving
.....minutes but
.....if they're
.........big
.......enough
....then they can
...be as long as days.
.Sand is usually used as a
counter for the intervals of time.

Poem: Minute Poetry
Title: Daughter in the Water

The waves are rolling in fine tune.
Under the moon.
Swaying slightly,
swift, and knightly.

Keen eyesight shows sincerity,
the clarity:
In the water,
lays your daughter.

Lying motionless, in the breeze.
It is a tease;
She's out of reach.
You're on the beach.

I would love some feedback. I know some aren't that great. (Seriously, some barely rhyme when needed.) But some I find are decent.

Bump, I'm afraid all of the views are from me, lol. At least someone post something.

I do like poetry, and I doubt there is not anyone that has a poem or two that they made. Or even ones that they'd like to share that they didn't make. If no one seems interested in a day or two, I'll just lock the topic. No biggy. :P

Edit 3 days later: Topic locked due to inactivity.

Disregard that, someone has requested I unlock the topic, thank you kind sir!

Poem: Free Verse
Title: Leaves

Jews, Jews, everywhere,
the autumn breeze is in the air.

Jews fall without a sound,
the Nazis come to town.

The Jews change color from brown, yellow, and even red.
When winter comes, they will all be dead.
Now, I'm not much of a poetry fanatic, but this good sir is poetic GENIUS!
KUDOS!

Oh my, that had me crying of laughter, that is so bad. XD

Gosh, but that sure was great parody-aspect.
"Nobody is perfect, I am nobody, therefore, I am perfect."

"When the rich wage war it's the poor who die."

sly 3 4 me

Without having a full read through the first post I read Lucifer's response and thought 'What the hell.. Is that seriously one of the poems he has on there?'. Then I went upward and laughed. xD

Mr Pwnage

Very cleverly composed too sir Lucifer, your analogical abilities are that of a mastermind!

QuoteOut of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

QuoteI met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

QuoteTo see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
