Title: Stick Mafia Revival #3: Internal Affairs MAFIA WINS!
Post by: Tidus on August 15, 2012, 07:20:56 PM
Stick Mafia Revival #3: Internal Affairs
Its just another normal day in Stickville, a nice small town in northern Iowa where nothing ever seems to happen. The townsfolk are going around doing their daily duties without a care in the world. This peace would soon be diverted however, as a small group of masked men stampede into the mayor's office and begin demanding that the mayor turns over the town immediately. Always a stubborn man, mayor Tidus laughs at this and asks the three men to take off their masks so they can negotiate terms.
The three men take off their masks and then run up to the mayor and hold him against the wall and say "Listen here mayor, there's oil under this old town, and we want to tap it. You give us this town, or we shall take it by force!"
Tidus looks shocked but then begins to chuckle and says, "I'm surprised 3 folks who have lived in my town for so long would turn to this...How about we play a little game, I'll keep your identities a secret and you guys can kill one of my townfolks per night, however my townies get to pick a person per day to lynch. If you manage to kill all of my townfolk, the town is all yours...of course you can have a vote in the lynching too that should make the game more...interesting"
The three men looked surprised at Tidus's willingness to put his own people at risk, but agree as they see no way they can possibly lose.......

The next morning Tidus calls a town meeting and explain the rules of this game he devised. When finished he orders all the speechless, confused townies back to their home and goes back to his office with a sly smirk on his face.

Roles:
The roles in this game will not be revealed at the start. Player's roles will be revealed when they die.
However, if the persons role is an occupation (e.g. A cop or a doctor)  you will be told that they claim to be that job, however you will not be told what type of the job they are. (ex: you will be told "xxx is the cop of Stickville" , but he could be a mafia Cop, a paranoid cop, or just a regular town cop, you don't know. ) (after all, in a small town everyone knows the local doctor and cop right?)

Two things everyone knows:
1)Titan and Jmacrules are both practicing doctors who have two separate offices in Stickville. Some prefer Jmacrules' old-style methods while others like the much younger Titan's more modern practices, so the two are in constant competition.

2)Hi756 is the only cop in the town. Stickville usually only keeps only one officer, since there is not much crime.

Rules: (Might as well keep the same rules eh?)
-You can't post any pictures of PMs relating to the game.
-Days and nights are 24 hours each, starting and ending at 3:00 PM EDT
-You can't edit your post 10 or more minutes after it was posted.
-When someone dies, their role will not be revealed, only their faction.
-Posting during the night is discouraged.
-You can't participate in the discussion after you die.
-Lynching is most votes by the end of the day.
-PMing is only allowed for certain groups, such as Mafia members and Masons.

1)Crozier--lynched on day 1: Pro-Town Skitzo
2)Hi756

4)YayForLife--Lynched on day 3: Mafia Godfather

10)Wigger123--Mod-Killed after Night 3: Pro-Town Tracker
11)Lucifer--Killed on Night 3: Pro-Town Jack-Of-All-Trades

Oh and by the way, the mafia win when they take up 50% of the population, not when all the town is dead. (for instance, if there are 2 mafia, there needs to be only 2 people at most alive that aren't mafia for the mafia to win)

Awesome! We have 10 people now :).

The game will start on Saturday at 3:00 PM EDT since my last day at my job is tomorrow, I'd rather wait until Saturday when I'm no longer as busy and it will give time for another person to sign up if they want. Roles will be sent out sometime tomorrow night!

If you want to join, still feel free to post! An 11th person would be more fun!

The game will start tomorrow at 3:00 PM EDT and the topic will be locked until then.

If you have any questions about your role, feel free to pm me.

EDIT: Theskyisblue has been added to the game!

After letting everyone get a night's sleep, Mayor Tidus gets everyone together in front of the town hall. He has a brief speech reminding everyone of the rules and what's at stake, and ends it by yelling into a loud megaphone "LET THE GAMES BEGIN!, I'll be inside my office whenever you guys get your votes together", turns away chuckling and goes into his office.

What all the townsfolk know before the game:
1)Titan and Jmacrules are both practicing doctors who have two separate offices in Stickville. Some prefer Jmacrules' old-style methods while others like the much younger Titan's more modern practices, so the two are in constant competition.

2)Hi756 is the only cop in the town. Stickville usually only keeps only one officer, since there is not much crime.

And with that information:

DAY 1 HAS BEGUN!

"We will ALWAYS have a bigger chance to lynch a townie. I don't see a reason to wait. Yeah, how about we wait until we have very few people left? Then we'll have a bigger chance to lynch Mafia!" *rolls eyes*

"Every time we don't lynch, we miss a chance to lynch a Mafia. We shouldn't pass these up.

I've decided on my vote."

Vote: crozier

Also, I would like to point out that last game, two people died overnight and people were STILL wanting to not lynch anyone. No lynching gets us nowhere. Besides, voting brings up discussion.

"Yeah, it's not like the town has won because of sheer luck both times! Having a power role mod-killed at the beginning of one game and a mafia (who had the entire town fooled) just so happening to attack the bomb was certainly skill on the town's part! So let's do absolutely nothing differently! No vote everybody!"

"So what you're saying is wait until Day 4 (when people usually roleclaim), and THEN vote for people?! Roles are hidden, we won't know who has what role for the whole game. And usually the mafia lies when they claim a role. Who the mafia kills won't reveal anything except for the dead person's role. And it will be too late by then since those who are dead can't tell us their info. Random voting for now will force people to come in the discussion. "No lynch" will just make everyone be quiet."

Okay, if you guys are all 'lets wait until our chances are higher,' look at it this way. If we lynch a townie, our chances of lynching a Mafia member increases for tomorrow, so if you want better chances of lynching Mafia, why not lynch someone now?"

Seriously, I'm getting tired of Day 1 being like this. How about we just start on Night 1? If everyone's just going to keep being idiots and wasting our first chance to get ahead, there's no point in having it.

All the town gathers up as 11clock informs Tidus that they have chosen to lynch Crozier. Upon hearing this Crozier starts shaking and yelling "noo not me, who will take care of Betsy!? John was right all along I should have left town ages ago!!!!" Everyone in the town looks confused, as they have 0 idea who Betsy or John are or why Crozier seems to think that they are standing right next to him, but after the lynch it starts to make some sense as Mayor Tidus tells them...

Crozier has been lynched, he was the Pro-Town Skitzo.

After this news, everyone goes back to their homes and...

Day 2 has begun!

Also, Wigger123 will be unable to finish this game and I am searching for a replacement for him! If no one joins before the end of night 2, he will be mod killed.

First time I was on the hotspot this series.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Kaptain. If Hi756 turns out to be Pro-Town, you will have eliminated our cop. He might be Mafia, but I wouldn't chance it now. ~25% chance of Mafia...

And wow! Vote frenzy. I don't even know where to begin..."

All I know is that if I live through today I am investigating KaptainKohl. There's no question. KaptainKohl is no longer my vote, I realize that vote raises some attention towards myself. There could be a mason out there that KaptainKohl is a part of....that is, if he is pro-town."

My vote is still towards KaptainKohl. I find his immediate jump on Hi756 to be more suspicious than Hi756's jump on me. How does he know whether or not I'm innocent?"

If people understood the "joke" (I realize now that was a bad word for it), then it would be a complete waste of my time! I was trying to see who would react to try to turn attention towards me. KaptainKohl jumped on that within minutes! If the so called "joke" was obvious, KaptainKohl wouldn't have reacted in the way that he did. In fact, I would've been ignored. Being ignored wasn't my goal.

Kohl may have sounded hasty, but I agree with him. We have been told that Hi756 is a cop, and thus we have been given someone to trust. However this trust is false, none of us should be trusted; myself included. Hi756's character has proven to be erratic, flinging accusations left and right and backing away snickering about jokes. I do not trust this man, and although targeting a Cop is a sure way to gain suspicion, I stand by my vote.

"What I did was vote for 11clock, a person that no one would even suspect to be mafia and the person I investigated and found to be innocent, to see who would respond in a negative way against me to start discussion. KaptainKohl did just that within seconds after I talked. At that time, KaptainKohl has 1 vote already. The only vote casted at the time was against him (and of course, 1 for 11clock). Since he responded so quickly, what I believe is that he was waiting for someone else to accuse just so he can get attention off himself. I was the next to talk, so he accused me, and from the looks of things, I might die because of it. Almost everyone turned on me afterwards. I believe KaptainKohl is mafia. Either that, or just another one of us townies wanting to keep alive. And I will take a chance. I will vote for KaptainKohl now. It probably won't matter, since I will die anyways."

"Umm... ok, no need to hide out helpful advice when we clearly could've used it." I literally laughed when I saw 11's and Luci's posts. "So if one of them is Mafia, who do we think it could be? Could it be Hi756, or KaptainKohl?

This match is pretty balanced, but to me, it more of weighs on Kaptain. If everyone thinks 11clock couldn't be Mafia, then I'm sure he would be pretty honest. I didn't see Lucifer talk a lot so I don't really believe him. Sure, they might be both Jack-of-all-Trades, but there was possibly a Bus Driver or some other weird role. It was tough choosing between the two, but I think I'll go with KaptainKohl. I'm really hoping Hi756 won't be lynched as a Pro-Town Cop. That could hurt us."

I.. I'm no longer sure, I've lost my resolve in the confusion. I cannot in good conscience lynch Hi756 without knowing whether or not there is a bus driver in play. If there is a bus driver, please come out and say so. As it stands, if a bus driver IS in play, then Hi756 would be a more likely target than KaptainKohl. In that case, it is more likely that 11clock's investigation is correct. (If he is indeed who he says he is.) Also, lynching a Town Cop is far worse than lynching a Mafia Cop, since in the end he's pretty much just another Mafia.

I shall change my vote to KaptainKohl.

Mayor Tidus comes out to figure out who the town voted for, only to find everyone about to break out in a huge brawl. After calming everyone down, Tidus asks for who they agreed to lynch this week, only to hear a bunch of different things yelled at him. He decides to just take a poll and gets the name KaptainKohl. "KaptainKohl? I have honestly never heard of him...?" Tidus says. KaptainKohl walks up to the front of the group laughing and says "Hahahahahaha I knew I could get lynched!!!! HAHAHAHA!!"
Tidus says, "Who the hell are you? Do you even live in my town!?" KaptainKohl responds, "Nope, I live 2 towns over in Slimeville, I just came here to see if I could get lynched after hearing about your game! haha I knew I could!!!"

KaptainKohl has been lynched, he was the Jester.

"Heh, what a weirdo, but I guess he accomplished what he wanted, so that makes him a winner in his mind..." Tidus says.

KaptainKohl is a winner this game! but the game shall continue!

11clock has been killed, he was the Pro-Town Vengeful Townie.

I have also decided to give it one more night for someone to replace wigger123 before he is mod killed. Please someone step up!!!

Aha, yes, my plan worked! Then again, it would of worked either way.

If anyone doesn't realize what my plan was, it was to simply divert the Mafia's attention by claiming a powerful role, such as the Jack-of-all-Trades. That way, I'm making sure that none of the more powerful town roles die. If I ended up making myself look like a Mafia member, I would of been able to use my ability, so win win for me.

Good luck, Town!

Tidus comes out to find the vote tally, but for all the madness he found yesterday, it was pretty quiet today. He starts tallying and finds the total count to be 3 for YayForLife and 2 for RayRay. "Hmm..so you guys finally got a mafia member, its about time. The leader too, nice. This game should start getting more interesting now..."

YayForLife has been lynched, he was the Mafia Godfather.

On that note, Night 3 has begun!

Also, this will be the last night for someone to step in for Wigger123's spot. Please PM me if you are interested in taking his role over or else he will be mod-killed at the end of the night!

Once again, everyone comes outta their home to see who is missing, and notice Lucifer missing. They search his home and find him dead.

Lucifer has been killed, he was the Pro-Town Jack-Of-All-Trades.

Mayor Tidus also gathers everyone as he has an announcement to make: "It would seem as though wigger123 has skipped town and hasn't been seen in days, he will no longer be part of this game.."

Wigger123 has been mod-killed, he was the Pro-Town Tracker.

Day 4 has begun.

I had lucked out with my Tracker role. Turns out TheRobert paid Lucifer a visit last night. Could he be Mafia? Or could he be a third-party? I'm willing to be subject to change because he might also be a townie. And it's not really the same situation right now. Four to two Mafia? That means we're at MYLO. It's too much of a risk this time."

Tidus had to go house to house and pry votes from people, as everyone seemed uninterested, but in the end he got 3 people to vote for TheRobert and that is enough.

TheRobert has been lynched, he was the Pro-Town Roleblocker.

Night 4 has begun.

Since there is nothing that can happen to stop it...

RayRay and Hi756 sneak over to Jmacrules's house, RayRay keeps guard as Hi756 sneaks in through the window and shoots Jmacrules while he was sleeping. They then go running over to the mayor's house happy as can be and break down the door. They go up to Tidus's room and say "Wake the hell up mayor, its over we rule this town now!"
Tidus responds, "But I still have 2 townies left, the game isn't over!" RayRay responds, "Face it there is nothing that can stop us now!" He pulls out a gun and says "THIS TOWN IS OURS!!" and shoots Tidus.

Jmacrules has been shot, he was the Pro-Town Doctor.
Tidus has been shot, he was the Mayor.

RayRay and Hi756 gather up the two survivors and tell them "You will be working for us now, you better start digging, this oil ain't gonna find itself!"
Titan, confused, says "But but..I coulda saved them...I wasn't given a chance!"
Hi756 laughs and says "You think you are a real doctor? HAH, your methods are bogus you can't do ANYTHING!...Oh and don't bother taking the bus out of this town Theskyisblue..I'm gonna keep a good eye on you." The two survivors look shocked, betrayed by their loyal cop and upset at their new lives of digging for oil.

Titan has been end-gamed, he was the Pro-Town Quack Doctor
Theskyisblue has been end-gamed, he was the Pro-Town Commuter.

RayRay, the Mafia Usurper turned Godfather, Hi756, the Mafia Cop, and YayForLife, the Mafia Godfather, have won the game! Congrats!

When I first saw the word "Usurper," I knew this game will start out difficult. When I kill YFL with a fake role is where the game gets easier for me. I made sure I avoided the inevitable choices, so I made Hi756 do the last kill. I feel like we won because several people ever talked. Good game though.

Lmao.
The Mafia should truly thank 11clock for confusing the shit out of me. I had investigated Hi756 night 1 and had been told that he was inded mafia. I was so close to getting him lynched the next day and was going to shoot him the following night if the lynch didn't go through, yet was thrown off course when 11clock claimed and accused KaptainKhol.

At that point, as Hi756 had previously accused KaptainKhol himself, I lost my conviction and assumed a bus driver was in play. After we lynched Kohl I decided to kill 11clock, as it was apparent that he had told a blatent lie and gotten a non-mafia member killed twice in a row.

This game has taught me an important lesson of sticking to your gut when dealing with claimers.

@luci yeah I was pretty surprised you didn't kill Hi756 on night 2.
I also found it funny how Jmac kept protecting RayRay and Titan, who thought he was a real doctor not a quack, was trying to protect Hi756 lol. Its weird how the mafia didn't even send me a kill until night 3 and still managed to win.

Wait, you're the one who killed me and not the Mafia? Well, I guess my plan to lure the Mafia didn't work then. Sorry! :P

And Jesters show up guilty on investigations.

I claimed that KaptainKohl was guilty because he made it blatantly obvious that he was Mafia, and I was surprised that half of the Town was voting for someone else instead. It turned out that he was actually the Jester.

I was trying to prove to the Mafia that I was a powerful role so that they would kill me, to prevent any other, more powerful roles from being killed for a night. If I ended up making myself look Mafia and get lynched, I would be able to use my ability, so it was SUPPOSED to be a win win condition for me.

My plan was to simply try to lure the Mafia to kill me. I didn't realize that another, town-aligned kill role would go at it instead. That was a flaw on my end.

Oh wow, so from the looks of things, YayForLife did absolutely nothing when he was godfather! We told him to tell Tidus who to kill, and he said "ok!" but it never happened, so on night 2 when you died, the mafia talked about targetting you and it was our decision, but YFL wasn't good at being the godfather and Lucifer ended up killing you. Night 1, there was no kill because there wasn't one sent. Man, I'm glad RayRay got YFL dead! Otherwise we never would've killed anyone!

Destiny, man. I was eventually going to have to kill YFL in order for ME to win, so I did. More active than YFL.

As for Night 2, we were planning on getting 11clock, but looks like YFL didn't send. Yet 11clock died so it looked to Hi756 and I like we got our kill when it was townie on townie...
