Actually, it would seem that you could VERY well PVP people with said GM weapon, especially considering noone but you would know the difference.

The damage difference between Seifer's GM weapon and the slasher is quite huge, so you would certainly notice it if he used his GM weapon against you.

Yeah, the Hyperion is the name of the actual gunblade model (same model here) in FFVIII, used by none other than the character Seifer. The Slasher, on the other hand, is just a rename and lowered stats in S.O.
