Not cool. I'm stuck at work for 4 of the days it's going on. I'm am most disappointed.

What's worse about missing it all,

So I loaded this up today. After an hour or two of patching that is. A whole lot has changed. There's a short little campaign now. New body frames. Skill trees. Etc.

While I'm liking what I've seen thus far,  there is one thing that really upset me. They removed PvP. No more Tribes like arena fights. And they are unlikely to return from what I've been told. Which is saddening. Also, engineers are bloody op. Full groups of engineers are a thing, 3 turrets each. You don't even have to try :/

Yeah... long story short, only a small percentage of their population participated in PvP and as such they decided their efforts were better spent towards polishing the PvE. I was only ever interested in Firefall for the PvP myself, it was fast paced and pretty interesting - I really liked playing through different patches and class changes, especially regarding the medic. I believe they do plan on re-launching PvP at some point in the future, at which point I will gladly try the game out again.

Good news everyone. Grouped with some of the devs to thump. Just talking well we thumped and my disappointment to returning to zero PvP came up. They told me it will be sooner than later and twice as good.

Edit: And by that I mean within one of the next 3 milestones of all goes according to plan. Which it never does. But hope is hope.
