Ishboo21 here!

For SoV3 i was woundering if putting a voice chat option would be possible? I think this idea would totaly give the game a new "edge" and would be really cool :D!

There is a teamspeak server that scotti made for stick online people. It's in the offtopic section.

Transferring voice across the internet uses up a lot of data, more than can be handled by a game server which already has lots going to and from it. All you have to do is download something like Ventrillo or TeamSpeak and you can achieve the same effect.

And you beat me to it. lol

In addition, SO 3 is going to be free, meaning around 100 players at all time. I really don't want to be listening to that.

what about having it so you can only voice chat people in a "party" that you would create? like if me you and someone else were in game, the onyl way we would be able to voice chat would be through enabling a party between us 3. and after the "party" is disbanded, voice chat would be off.

There are tools you may use. Your group/party can make a Teamspeak or Ventrilo server. Or you can use xfire/skype which might be more easy to use. http://www.xfire.com/ http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/home

yeah i know about those, i was just woundering if stick could have its own as some people (me) are way to lazy to go make an account on something like those 3rd party apps.

Mute buttons not included.
Troll heaven.

I'd much rather just buy a couple of seperate Team Speak Servers for the game than implement it directly into the game. Stick Online isn't really the type of game that it would make tons of sense to have integrated voice chat, not to mention how much more that would likely cost for me to host something like that on one of the future V3 servers.
