mine is avatar that movie is awsome
I don't know, this is a pretty hard question.
I liked Grand Torino, Saving Private Ryan, Wind Talkers, Zombie Land, I am Legend, Dawn of the dead, Shaun of the Dead.
If I had to narrow it down to 3 I'd go with Grand Torino, Windtalkers, and I am Legend.

nice lol but i think avatar tops everything i cant stop watching it lol. Grand torino was a good movie
I really like cloverfield. But There no movie that really sticks out other than it to me.
Avatar was pretty cool, but most of the movies in recent years are merely remakes or sequels of something else, like Transformers and Iron Man.
The only movie that had a lasting impression in my head was Kung Fu Hustle.
My favorite movie is Never back Down
~Looperpuck
Some real good movies mentioned. Avatar was awesome, it reminded me of Pocahontas though. lol. Gran Torino was pretty sweet.
I don't really have a "favorite" movie... theres just so many to enjoy D: I'd say some big ones are Pirates of the Caribbean(first one) & the first Transformers movie. (not that I dont like the sequels, I just like the first ones better). Also, Nightmare Before Christmas is just a classic in my eyes :3
Bare Wench Project
Sorest Rump
Star Whores
Schindler's Fist
Womb Raider
Romancing the Bone
Blown in 60 Seconds
Throbin Hood (Prince of Beaves)
Free My Willy
Buttman and Throbbin'
And my all time favorite:
Spankenstein!!
Definitely Gran Torino is my all-time favorite. Clint Eastwood is AMAZING. Seems a couple of you have already mentioned it.
I think my favorite movie would have to be 300. But others are very close; Freddy vs. Jason, Iron Man, Spiderman, Space Jam. But I have more.
The movie that will always stand as my favorite, and probably the only movie I can continue to watch over and over again, is Swingers.
A few of my favourites: Iron Man 2, Avatar, Kick-Ass, Pirates of the Carribean, I Robot, The Fast and the Furious, AVP...
That's all I can think of from the top of my head.
The Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy Hands Down
Fight Club - by far the most interesting movie I've ever watched!
Oh yeah, Ferris Bueller's Day Off & the Breakfast Club are also awesome.
Stop stroking Avatar's enormous cock, you all know The Princess Bride is your favorite movie, and don't !@#$ing try to deny it.
Avatar was Pocahontas in a Sci-Fi time period. SAME STORY with tiny mods..
Movies that stick out...

Brave Heart (Or ANY of mel Gibson's movies.. except Passion)
Aviator (the movie about Howard Hues)
Mad Max and the Thunderdome
I'll stop there.. before I go before most of your times.

The Go Getter I think. I dunno. I've got a soft spot for quirky romantic Indie movies. And Zoey Deschael (sp?)

Nothing wrong with telling the same story a different way. It is done constantly.

That's unfortunate, because he does have some awsome movies such as The Patriot and Braveheart.

Well, I have seen Braveheart, and some other things, but I won't watch any of his other stuff at this point. I see it more unfortunate that people can still be that ignorant and blatantly public about it and that other people don't care more. He should be run out of Hollywood and never be allowed to work again.

When knowing the whole picture, he was raised that way. It's unfortunate, and by no means an excuse to make allegations to his (jewish) arresting officer that "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world", but when his father is an even more ignorant prick than he can be, it does shed some light on the scenario. Not to even mention his public denouncement of homosexuality. Woooo boy that's a whole different can of worms.
Sad, in that he will likely go down as one of the greatest actors of his time (rightfully so), and also be marked as one of the most hated actors of his time as well, that'll go over well getting awarded both at his lifetime achievement ceremony.
I respect his works a lot (hard to find a film of his I didn't like), I have a hard time admiring his personality. I can separate the two.

Most people who have irrational hatred of other groups are that way because of their parents or their upbringing. In general, people don't logically come to the conclusion that all Jews should be burned, etc etc. They feel that way because it was ingrained in them from a young age. This really doesn't shed any light on anything. I would think once people become adults that they can think for themselves and realize that everyone is pretty much the same. Obviously not.
As to the point of separating personal beliefs from entertainment. Sure. A lot of actors are jerks. I don't really care most of the time. But sometimes it's too much. Famous people think they can get away with anything. But when it comes to something like this, or drunk driving and killing people, they need to be taught a lesson. Do shit like this and people will stop giving you attention. At least that's what "should" happen. It doesn't. But I'm still doing my part.
Stick online the movie. Its not out yet but you all will see.

I've seen both. Pulp Fiction is definitely a classic, and Watchmen was a pretty good interpretation of the comic. I just wouldn't consider either my favorite movie.

This isn't a topic about movies we've seen, it's about our favorite ones. Watchmen was good, but definitely not a fave of mine, and I've only seen part of Pulp Fiction...
I watch and love far too many movies to pick one single one.

Sherlock Holmes- this movie really makes you think, and the fighting scenes were done well
Zombieland- gotta love comedy-horror films.. reminded me of Shaun of the Dead (another awesome movie)

I have a couple good ones. Wall-E and Up. Seriously, some of these CGI Pixar movies that are sort of meant for kids are really very deep, meaningful movies. The opening sequence of Up in particular, where they tell the whole story of these two people's lives without any words is just amazing.
I liked the lion kings.
I can't believe I forgot about 28 Days Later!! D: I love that movie ^_^
Also I loved Up, Wall-e, Finding Nemo, & most movies by Pixar. The beginning of Finding Nemo & Up are so sad though D:

Great movies, and I was actually thinking about listing them both. Pixar really knows how to make a good movie for adults and kids alike.
No starwars? I know they can be a bit hyped but they are still good movies.
Oh, and Shaolin Soccer.
not meaning to necro, but i will...
if anyone has seen the book of eli, its a great movie. now before i get flamed for it having religion in it, i saw a different morale in it. i think it might be a new favorite in my list.
L change the world (even though i am a huge death note fan, i'm not biasing this... the movie is awesome)
green street hooligans (pretty deep movie... makes you wonder what would happen if things were different, etc...)
american pies (has a special place in my perverted heart)
van wilder (same as above)
paranormal activity (i love making comedies out of horror movies... me and my ex were laughing so hard at this)
