I just thought I would take this opportunity to inform you guys that I may not be online much for a while. I have recently been down visiting my girlfriend for a chunk of my summer vacation, and just today, her house was broke into and robbed. The burglar stole both my computer and my netbook, as well as her and her roomates computers (among many other things...). Luckily nobody was harmed, as we were all out when it happened, but due to this I will likely also be helping my girlfriend and her roomates try and find a safer place to live over the next week or so. Because of all this it's safe to assume that I probably won't have computer access for a while, and therefore wont be able to answer any tech/account related emails for a while. I was hoping to get the clan update out within the next week, but it will have to wait. I ask that my other GM's please keep a good eye on things in the mean time. I will hopefully be able to get myself a new computer within the next couple weeks...
Oh man, that sucks. Good luck with your search.
Definitely not good, you have my sympathies.
You have my number if you need anything.
That really sucks, man. Hope they can find the guy and recover all the stuff. :(
Gosh that sucks, I remember the time my house got robbed when my family and I were at the air port. I know how you feel, good luck.
That's extremely unfortunate, take your time on the clan system, you know we don't mind waiting.

We're trained experts! ;D
Oh wow, well it's good that no one was harmed :) sucks about your computer though, a while ago my mate's house was broken into and they stole his computer as well as his back up hard drive, and my house has been broken into as well.
Wishing you all the best :)
ouch man that sucks, atleast everyone is safe.
Dang, robberies suck. I should know, I was robbed 5 times in 2 months when I was younger. 3/5 times we were home. 1/3 times we were asleep. Its scary business. Luckily you were all unharmed, although house robberies for the most part are planned, extremely well, so the odds of you actually coming in contact with the guy during is highly unlikely. I hope your girlfriend had insurance on stuff within her house.
Hope your insured. What an unhappy 500th post also.
Sorry to hear that, goodluck on resolving everything, and finding another place to stay for your girlfriend and such.

Sorry to hear
Gonna finish that post? ^^

This is why you live in very small towns. Robberies do not happen.
That's shitty... Sorry to hear about that, I hope she can find a much safer place to stay that's not freakishly expensive. :/
Best of luck to you guys.
I'm very thankful that I've never been robbed...
Guys he can't see your messages, he not going to be online for a while. It's pointless to say sorry this good luck that when he can't even read this topic! So how about we instead post messages that are actually important for when Meiun gets back.
Welcome back Meiun, we missed you! Glad to see you have internet again! So anyways how did everything went?

Except for the fact he said "I may not be able to get online
much for awhile", and considering the fact he managed to find a way online to post this, I'm sure he may check every once in awhile. We can still leave condolences, and when he actually gets back, then you can put those messages. >.>
That sucks, seems like not much can be done about that. I hope that everything turns out alright, and as I recall you live not to far away, so if theres anything I can do to help, let me know.(Even though there probably isn't anything I could do.)
Also Seifer, you'd be surprised. My town is pretty small and we had a few bank robberies awhile back, along with a homicide.

Yea I live in a small town in kentucky and almost everyday there are peoples houses broken into and only about 10 local police men.
But I am sorry to hear about your situation and hope everything works out.
sorry to hear that, i live in a village with 1 police officer, the worst thing our town has seen, was some kids painting some signs.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. My girlfriend has managed to replace her stolen computer (hence me posting now), and insurance should cover at least a portion of my stolen goods once it goes through. My girlfriend, her roomates, and I have managed to find a much better place for them as well, so things are looking up a bit. Also, just to clarify, my girlfriend actually lives a ways away from me. My hometown is actually a very safe small town. But if there's one thing I've learned it's that shit like this can happen anywhere.
Glad to hear everything is getting better, I hope you get a decent amount of money from your insurance on the stolen goods. ^.^

A lot of people think things like renters insurance is a joke, and only elect to have about one or two thousand on a contract because "Stuff like this never happens." I guarantee Meiun and his girlfriend don't think this! It has minimal cost, and to be honest, theft is probably the most cited reason when the call is made to the insurance company!
Glad to hear things are working out for you Meiun.

That's All-States stand. Are you in good hands?
Had too, what you said reminded me of those commercials. xD
Anyways, nice to hear all is well. Insurance is very good. :P
Well, insurance comes in many forms...mine being a shotgun.
That sucks, hope everything turns out well.
Sorry to hear about that, it's a good thing insurance was able to get you reimbursed.

Define small than?
And well, maybe that is America for you. Where I live, we honestly have zero robberies.
Its all about location. There are areas in big cities that don't get any robberies, and places in small towns that have a robbery every week. For the most part it doesn't really matter how populated the area is.

Jesus would know all about the subject. :D

I really think this is a general condition of the world. There are good areas and bad areas no matter where you go. If you try to tell me Canada doesn't have this, I wouldn't really believe you. Just because your town is relatively safe doesn't mean it's representative of all your country.
i know what you mean, i live in a relatively safe part of Australia, robberies and such arent very common, the worst thing thats happened lately was a few tires getting slashed. But there are parts around australia (coughBlacktowncough) that are full of robberies, muggers, drug dealers etc.
In response to the Canada thing Lingus. We have such a low crime rate that we have to report crimes from the USA in our news in order to keep it interesting.

We also have a much smaller population. The greater the population, the more crime occurs. As a percentage, it's probably similar. There are numerous areas in Toronto that are straight-up unsafe to be in.
Yeah, here in British Columbia, I live not to far away from the ghetto part of town, and it's not nice over there, not one bit. But yeah I guess what I'm trying to say is that everywhere has it's flaw, whether those flaws be minor or major. *And maybe we should get back on topic and discuss Meiun's situation rather then our own*

Hey man sorry on what happend....just wanted to say something to u and goodluck on finding a new home and getting your things back.
I'm happy to hear that things are getting better, hope you, your girlfriend and her roommates will recover fully. :) I remember getting about 50 CDs stolen from me, it sucked. Not as bad, I know, just saying. Never found them either.

As long as people don't go posting completely random things, it's okay. Our situations, while probably nowhere near as bad as Meiun and Bella's, are related to the topic at hand. Topics evolving into more interesting discussions are fine too.
This may not be exactly related but someone stole my cleats from my locker 3 weeks ago and I got em back around a week later cause they though it would be a funny joke...-.-. I now bought a lock l0l.
Just thought I'd let you all know that I have managed to get myself a replacement laptop, and should now be able to be back on more. However, due to the fact that my family is currently in the process of building a new house, I'm going to have to take a trip to dig through all of our storage of stuff from our old house in order to find my old computers backup that had all my programming stuff, etc. Either way this is probably gonna set me back a bit, seeing as I didn't have it with me to back stuff up for a few weeks prior to when my comp was stolen. Hopefully I'll manage to find it in the next day or so. Thanks again for all the support!
As for my hometown, it's populartion isn't "middle of nowheres" low, but it's still down there a ways. But regardless, it is definitely about as safe a place as you can get. Can't remember the last time I heard of anything like a break in or other serious crime here. Where I was spending most of my summer however, is both a very different story, and quite far away.
Yay meiun! Hope you do well now.
Next thing we know, a burglar stole SO3 source files D:

Heh, that's what I thought after a while too. We'll be seeing "Stickman Journey 3 Online"
I would think that Robbies happen all over the world. Even in very small Cities up to the Big Cities, and I'm very sorry to hear about that. :(
