This is especially funny to me, because my printer is from 1994 and fails to do anything but make very loud noises and print out random lines of binary.
Haha, clever article.
A couple years ago my printer broke mid-print due to some hardware error, and somehow heated up the ink cartridge to what seemed to be 1000 degrees when i touched it...Got a pretty nice burn. Never buying HP again...I have a pretty nice ink-jet now.
There's actually a video version of this. I'm too lazy to find the actual link, but just YouTube collegehumor printer or whatever.

I have one of those printers that has a separate cartridge for each color. One day the yellow cartridge was low, so we went to buy a new one. Immediately after replacing it, the rest of the cartridges "expired". Why the hell couldn't it have told me that was going to happen so I could have bought all of the cartridges in a single package?
Yes, printers are ridiculous.
Our printer will work as long as you treat it with the utmost respect. If you start to print and realize it's not what you want, and try to stop it half way through, it will get so pissed that it will only print out random gibberish until your restart your computer.
Do what I do: Hump it into submission!
Its alive!!
Well despite printers as usual my new one works lovely all the time. :P Although our last one was crap. It was brand new and you'd turn it on and the computer would recognize 7 different printers from one. Then you had to guess which was actually it. If you didn't guess the right printer would print of a full black page.
