This is an old video game I used to play (one of my first). The first version (jazz jackrabbit 1) was made in 1994 and the second (jazz jackrabbit 2) in 1998. It's a side scrolling shooter featuring a rabbit with a huge gun as main charracter. The second version has a very easy to use level editor and multiplayer for up to 16 players (up to 32 if you use split screen). There is also a community made mod (JJ2+) which includes extra gamemodes, spectating, 16 extra slots for players to play, extra server functionality and a lot more. Also there are over a thousand levels and hundreds of tilesets which makes it so hard for the small but nice community to die. There are also about 1 or 2 dual tournements held each year where you can't just dual other players but also join events where other gamemodes are hosted. Also there are active clans and a clanladder where the better people fight each other. And last but not least, the game has some pretty badass music. Try it out yourself:

I recommend you to download Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files (v1.24) and the JJ2+ update. The 1.24 version allows you to also join 1.23 without getting level size errors.

HOLY CRAP I LOVED THIS GAME.
Anyway, I never realised it was online. I might check it out again!
