Title: Monster Hunter 4
Post by: T-Rok on April 18, 2012, 09:48:33 AM
Just recently saw their teaser trailer of in-game play. I want it. I want it right now. But as we all know, it's many years away with how they release them. Probably give it a good year or two in Japan before the port to America type deal.

It was interesting to see that it was for the 3DS. I'll actually have a reason to carry my 3DS with me everywhere I go now. This also opens up a fairly decent amount of possibilities for the Wii U.

I'm hoping they release it for the Wii U. I'm not exactly a huge fan of handhelds; I stopped keeping up with that market past the GB color.

I enjoyed the hell out of MH3 Tri, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

This is inspiring me to fire up the Wii and giving Tri another go.  Yet another reason for me to sit here and claim to want to buy a 3DS, and never get one.  ;D

Well one of the great things about the Wii U was the purported ability to play games from the 3DS on the Wii U and vice versa. If the information and discussions are to be believed, you could most certainly play this via your tv and a Wii U controller.

I only just recently was able to get my hands on Tri. I had been stuck farming the hell out of Freedom Unite making every item available.. Anyways, I love the new swimming feature. It was a great addition. With this new destructible terrain, uneven terrain, jumping on dragons and attacking with your carving knife, and what appears to be vast areas spanning great distances without so much as a loading screen; I'm sure MH4 will not let anyone down.

Will be interesting to see if they even bother release it in the US. I sure as hell hope so, as Monster Hunter Tri was one of the most rewarding/awesome games I've played in ages.

Monster Hunter 4 was unveiled at the same time as Monster Hunter 3G, at which time Snow (one of the heads for Capcom Unity, the USA branch) teased followers saying "What did you notice? Is this new style interesting to you hunters? Something you'd like to see released here in the West? Tell us all of your thoughts in the comments asking us to give support"

Get enough people to give support, I think it will be a done deal. Especially considering since the 3DS has not been hacked yet thus pirated copies of the game aren't a viable option.
