Who do you think will win the super bowl? i myself hope for the saints
Colts all the way. ;D
me.
Colts will win. Manning is going to tear the Saint's defense apart, and if the Saint's offense plays like they did last week, the game will be over fast. The Vikings had a better chance of beating the Colts since their defense is way better, but with Peterson fumbling and Favre throwing that INT (like he always does) how can you expect to win.
VIKINGS!
Oh, wait...
The Redsox obviously...
!@#$ the superbowl. !@#$ it. Vikings vs Saints was a bullshit game so the superbowl doesnt !@#$ing matter anymore. Anyway, the Colts will obviously win.
Its going to end in a tie.
Colts. Cause I have a new found hate for Saints :)
Colts will win, obviously, but I like the Saints better.

I'm OH SO sorry that the saints beat your team, even after the refs for the game BLATANTLY expressed in all their cheap calls that they wanted a Favre/Manning superbowl. I'm glad they put that old fart of a QB in his place that game. Twas half expecting him to snap in half and have his torso carried (ball in hand) into their own end-zone for a safety, leaving his legs still standing at the line. Alas, my dreams were NOT fulfilled, but I am MORE than excited to see the Saints go to the superbowl for their first time ever, and I'm not even that much of a Saints fan. More or less just rooting for our fiend's team since they are from New Orleans, and the wife is HAWT to the eyes!

Your lame dude... truly lame. If the refs were biased towards a Favre/manning superbowl, they wouldn't make bad calls that help the Saints. Remember the def pass interference over a ball that could not be catched? Yeah.
Favre played amazing for what he had to work with. He got basically no protection compared to the Saints quarter back, who pretty much had all the time in the world.

How about the play where Favre had more fake pass-offs than Ron Jeremy in a whore house, then as soon as he ditched the ball got smacked, and the refs called it roughing the passer (of many other bad calls throughout the game). Not only was the man mid-flight from flattening Favre, but how is it roughing the passer if A) He didn't have the ball, and B) Who the hell has the ball!?! You can't expect to try and fake the defensive line and not get clobbered.
Oh, you must be referencing the pass interference where the man would have caught it if not taken down, did you not see how close the ball landed? It couldn't have been more than 10 feet from the receiver WITH NO ONE ELSE EVEN AROUND. What, was Brees passing it to the Vikings? Had he not been tackled well before the ball got close to him, he could have damn well at least came within a foot or two of catching it. Last time I checked, passing it to the opposing team is not in any playbook.
Colts will kick butt and avenge the Vikings

I know. I was joking. Trying to make the point that I don't care about sports really...
Your version of football, fails quite frankly. It has no 'real' tactics about it. "Pick up the ball give it to the guy who throws it to the other guy running to the other teams line and wait for the defense to munch through you"
English football or 'soccer' to you Americans is the shit even though I hate that to, RUGBY!!!!

And thats where your 100% wrong.
No real tactics my ass. What about traps, and blitzes, and crosses, and trick plays(throwback, midline), and options?
You obivously have no idea.
I could say theres no tactics in soccer, just run down the field and try and kick the ball into the goal.
Though I'm sure thats not true and theres tactics in there somewhere.
So before you fail even more, you should probably just leave.
Yea, I don't really watch sports and I know that a major part of american football is strategy. What the hell do you think the coaches and players are doing with all of those play books? Drawing pretty pictures? Now, I know that games like basketball and soccer have "plays" of sorts, and it requires strategy in a certain sense, but it seems as though it is less planned out and more of an "in the moment" kind of thing. In other words, those games are more about the skill and knowing what to do in certain situations and making sure all of the players on a team can act together. Wheras in american football, a whole huge portion of practicing is learning different plays and for the coach it is about deciding which plays to use in what situations... or in other words, strategy. But then american football also has a lot of the same elements that soccer and basketball have. It's just packed into individual plays. Which, in a sense, makes american football a much more dynamic sport. There's a bit more to it.
But either way, it's still not fun for me to watch... So I don't know why I'm arguing it.

Also Titan it's not really hard to get a ball and run into someone then throw it some more so you get a 'touch down' or what ever the hell you nubs call it. All you need is muscle to play that game.

Stop making ignorant statements about football. You obviously know nothing about it, and probably never watched or played it therefor your opinion is useless for you have no experience to back it up. There is plenty of tactics in football, just like in any other sport. And what is rugby, which is apparently your favorite sport, but just a bunch of people crashing into each other, throwing a ball, and running? You can say find ways to say there are no tactics in any sport, but when it comes down to it there are in every sport. Now take your ignorant statements, and shove them up your ass and stop looking for fights, thanks.

I barely watch sports at all, but I am something of a strategy aficionado, and I can tell you that you'd have to be pants-on-head retarded to not be able to see that there is strategy present in the game of 'American Football'.
I'll be waiting for that evidence.

Bashing on a country made up mainly of immigrants. I'm sure some one from your part of land on this earth lives here. And in that case your basing your self.
But this is just sports talk. And its a strange language i know little about. I'm not competent to comment in this topic. :(
It went from trash talk to downright belligerent immaturity. Leave it to the SO community.
I'm not sure when it got "downright belligerent immaturity" but if anything your post did nothing to help it. Back to the Super Bowl. Do they get something if they win this other than money and fame? like a trophy?
I never said I came here to help, just put children in their place. For blatant, belligerent immaturity, read:

Regarding the "trophy" it is more or less the honor. As far as rewards, well I'm sure there is some sort of monetary reward, through advertisements and future promotional deals and such, but I think the $50,000,000+ seasonal paycheck alone is good enough of a reward, superbowl or not.
There is a trophy, the Lombardi trophy, named after an old coach of the Green Bay Packers team, Vince Lombardi, which is presented to the whole team after they win the Superbowl, they have a mini ceremony thing after the game. As well as the above that Scotty said.
And about muscle being the only necessary thing for football... False. I'm a scrawny kid, About 135 lbs and when I play with my buddies I'm usually picked over the big guys. Muscle is great, but it won't give you coordination needed to catch the football while in a full out sprint, or the ability to run a full out sprint. And most people who are built are slower. In order to make tackles you have to be able to catch the person you want to tackle and at least slow them down until team mates come over to help.
Yup that is true, but a team needs people of all sizes, abilities/talents etc. Big bulky guys are best on the offensive and defensive lines, slightly smaller guys then on o-line and d-line are good at fullback/tightend maybe even runningback, then there are safeties/corners that are usually small and fast, recievers which are usually tall and quick with good hands, QB's are (mostly) smart and can read the D, and are usually smaller dudes in most cases, then runningback which is usually short, strong, small/medium build, and can power through the defense. But even with that all said, these players can be switched around and some are better at say trucking, stiff arm, speed, elusiveness, catching, blocking etc..
@scotty
oh, i see now. and
Quote$50,000,000+ seasonal paycheck alone is good enough of a reward,
i agree.
