what would be the minimum requirements to play SO on my computer..
1 computer (slow one) is 1gig processor, 350mb ram idk what graphics card. its quite slow running SO
my other computer has no troubles running it. its 2gig duel core processor, 4gig ram, 256mb graphic cards.
i7 core running at 3.6 ghz 16gb ram minimum with at least 2 x ATI Radeon HD 4870. Best played with full surround sound and a 30" widescreen moniter.

Minimum System Requirements
Microsoft Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP.
DirectX 8+
DirectX 8 compatible graphics graphics card with at least 32MB of video memory.
64mb of RAM.
500mhz processor.
DirectX 8 compatible sound card.
800x600 (or more) screen resolution with 16-bit or 32-bit colors.
That's atleast game maker executables requirements and obviously requires an internet connection. However the system requirements could be different with SO...it all depends. I'm sure the above is the bare minimum though.
lol thanks according to this my other computer is able to play iy but it sucks so much. its so slow and laggy.
you comp is too powerful you need to downgrade. nothing more then a 1mhz processor
even thats too powerful. gotta love these low requirement games :D
Actually a basic game in game maker needs those requirements Joel, you'll find Stick Online is a bit higher.
There's a difference between minimum and recommended requirements.

iv tried those specs on that sheet on old hardware i have around here, and the game is not really playble. You can start the game up but that's not that fun.
What i would consider mim:
At least a P4 CPU (anything lower you will have dcing problems from low fps.)
512 MB RAM xp (still really rec 1 gig)
1 gig vista+
110 mb+ of free hard disk space (that should be easy)
Internet connection (at least 56 kbit/s) (no duh)
64 mb vram. Anything lower and you get the backgrounds that messes up.

That's true and I provided the minimum requirements as it was what he asked for (not saying that you suggested anything different, just agreeing with you).

Yea, I was basically backing up your statement. You should be able to "run" any GM executable with the requirements you listed. Whether the game will be playable or not would depend on whether you meet the "recommended" requirements. Which I think is what the OP really should be asking about considering he's saying he can play, but it's very slow?
Thank you. i got everything i needed.
you can stop posting on here now :)
There's a lock button in the bottom left corner, you can close it if you want.
I think the meaning to minimum requirements is vary variable between people and products.
I swear when I seen this topic I thought it was going to be about an age/maturity requirement...Idk, thought it was funny the way it turned out... :P *Walks away*
