Why is such an epic song somewhat hidden?
Pretty sweet song.
Old news.
I got bored of it after 1 min...
"town" is so much better though. :-X
Lol, why are those mid files even in there? What are they used for?

I wish I could tell you. I never have even heard of them till now either. In addition to the few midi files there are also many vista sounds for what appears to be stuff done in the control panel. Though I can't think of a Microsoft interface you access from your hardware that plays music like this. It's rather strange.
Windows has had midi songs for as long as I can remember.... even back in Windows 95/98, I believe. Just for fun, I suppose.

Someone contact Windows & ask why they're putting random music on our computers
I just have to wonder what else might be in that enigmatic folder named mysteriously "WINDOWS": a name that shouts out "DO NOT SCREW WITH THIS FOLDER! DO NOT TOUCH IT! VERY FEW PEOPLE ARE INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO ENTER THIS FOLDER WITHOUT DESTROYING THEIR OS, AND THEY ARE SMART ENOUGH NOT TO TRY!!!"
That music contains a virus, quick!
Open My Computer
Open C:
Click Windows
Hold Shift, press Delete
Accept
Don't ask questions,
just do it.
goddamnit luci, i had to go to the store and !@#$in buy windows... at least i got an upgrade :D
Not sure on the exact reasons, but I'm pretty sure they are used for sound checks, because I remember when I first got my computer I had to set it up and one of the tests was to test if the sound worked and it'd be playing one of these midi files.
Is that meant to assuage my now deep mistrust of Microsoft?
