Flowers for Algernon

Anyone read this book? I don't like to read much, but this book is very interesting. It's about a mentally retarded guy that just wants to be smart so he can have more friends. He receives a new kind of operation that triples his IQ. After the operation, the people who he thought were his 'friends' were just hanging out with him to laugh at him. It's kind of sad, but a VERY good story if you read it.
