Defective PS3?

I think I may have a defective PS3. It started yesterday. I join a match to play MW2, and when the match is about half over, my PS3 makes some weird sounds and freezes. This happened seven times yesterday, and it is really worrying me. There is nothing blocking any of the vents, and it has never done this before. Any ideas?  :-\

Probably on both.
It hasn't done it in a while, only twice today. I'm about to start another match. It seems to only do it when I'm online... :/
