Who else has one?  I'm working on scoring a couple of invites for a few friends, and was wondering who else has gotten their invite?  This thing is made of pure awesome!

Scotty

Hopefully Jake and Chaos will get their invites soon.  This tool looks really promising for collaborating and working together.  Anyone else using it?

LeGuy

Care to elaborate exactly what it is? :P
Whee!

Red October

I've heard of it. Needs more peeps.

Being that I guarantee there is not one person here other than myself and one other who would be willing to sit through the hour and a half video describing it, here is the adolescent ADD version of that video:

Hm, looks pretty powerful. However, I can't quite think of any scenarios when I'd require that much complexity and options. But for a workplace or some sort of programming team, I'm sure it'd be very useful.
Whee!

That's exactly what Jake, Chaos and I intend to do with  it.  Other than it being completely collaborative, and I could see this taking over E-Mail in the future.

EDIT: Not to mention the possibilities available to web developers like myself, this tool is truly going to change web development!

Looks interesting. I don't know if I'd have a use for it quite yet. Possibly at work maybe. I can see it being very usefull for online collaboration for things such as web development.

I find it interesting that I haven't heard about it yet. Why does google not advertise these things to their current users. I'm on Google pretty much every day. I use Docs, Reader, Gmail, my homepage is iGoogle. Why would they not point something like this out to someone like me who would potentially be interested in it? Also, I find their invitation thing weird. They did that with Gmail too. I guess it's a way to keep the user base small while they are still testing.

Anyways, if you have the ability would you send me an invite? I'd be interested in check it out.

Scotty

My apologies, I had to jump through hoops to get the two invites already.  I put the effort in because us three intend to use it, and I don't have any invites anyways.  I had to ask a friend to send them out on my behalf.  If I do happen to land any invites, I'll be sure to let you know!

With regards to why they aren't broadcasting it, it is a limited preview, and there is no sense in advertising it if they can't promise everyone with it.  They have made it known that they aren't passing out invites like crazy because of the lack of assets to support a large user-base quite yet.  As it is further developed, they allow more invites.  As to when they expect to actually go live with it, well that's anyone guess.  Gmail was on lock-down forever, even further was it still in beta as you probably recall, so don't hold your breath.

One of my friends was giving out invites, but I didn't know what it was about. I guess I'll have to ask him for one now!

Cool. No worries.

Matty_Richo

Sorry for the Bump.

Just watched the Hour and a Half long Video about it. Actually it was really interesting and shows the full potential which is really quite amazing with all the Extensions and stuff.

Btw, thought I'd mention, Google Wave doesn't quite work on Internet Explorer. Apparently you have to install something for it to work. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'll let you know how it goes when I do.
