Game Maker 8

Game Maker 8 was released today.  I haven't had a chance to register it yet, but I noticed that it comes with a fair share of resources by default.  Other than that, it looks good so far, can't wait to use it more in-depth.

Do they have a change log or anything? Or are there major bullet points as to what is different about this version from previous? I'm curious...

I'm also loving the new logo.  I'm not sure how many followed the whole debate surrounding the new logo, but I'm pleased with the decision.

I feel like this should have been a free update to gm7 but hey its nice to see it growing and being worked on. If they make money and are able to make the next game maker better then yay.

One of the biggest things i like about this is the new script editor. Im downloading the free/lite/unregs vs now.

Haha. The top one is a little bit scary. People completely raged when they saw that it was the new logo. Yoyogames received death threats, complaints, etc.

I have installed an took a quick look and it seem a lot more professional introduction to the software. Other than that it seems the same. But this is only like the first 10 secs with it.

Hahahaha, yeah, all the adults probably looked at it and said "I don't want this to target 13 year olds, and this logo will do just that!"  If only they knew that wouldn't  make a difference!
