I thought it might be a cool idea to have a topic just to discuss movies people have recently seen. And for people to ask whether a movie is worth seeing.

I'll start of with the new Sherlock Holmes. I give it a 9.4/10
It was a very good movie with some great effects and a great storyline.
Well worth seeing if you get the chance.

Another movie is 9.
it was very wierd but I gave it an 8.9/10
I thought the storyline was good and the animation was very nice.
it was well worth the 12 bucks to go see it.

DarkTrinity

I want to see Sherlock Holmes really bad x.x alot of people tell me it's really good. And 9 is a great movie IMO, but I love Tim Burton movies, so I'm biased. But holy crap, $12 for a movie??? It's like $8 at the theatre here... >_>

:O Tickets where I live are $10 at night, $13.50 3D.

Torch

It's $14 for movie tickets here. I saw Sherlock Holmes and LOVED it. Robert Downey Jr. makes an awesome Holmes. Definitely recommend this.

Master

Thats how much it is here too, like around 12 bucks and like...$15 for 3D...but i use costco to buy my tickets =P 9 was an epic movie, and I have to say, amazing song to go with the movie, (Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria). Sherlock Holmes was amazing also, a lot of creativity =P. Another great movie is Avatar, its idea was awesome, and the action in the movie is epic, I would have to give it around a 9 or 9.5/10.

I live in Australia. Exchange rates are different.

crozier

We have a 1$ theater here.
It shows the movies like 2 or so months after they come out in the other more expensive theater. Its great.

Torch

I saw and hated Legion.

I also disliked Avatar, though I can see it's appeal, I just found the story way too predictable. There were literally no plot twists.

yeah. you don't see Avatar for the story. You see it for the looks.

The looks are great, and the action was awesome, though your right about the plot. The war at the end was the best part tbh. I really want to see Book of Eli, heard a lot of good things about it.. plus Denzel Washington is awesome.

I was dragged along by my Girlfriend to see The Lovely Bones. I thought it was gonna be a silly chick flick type thing. But it turned out to be really good and Saoirse Ronan played the character perfectly. Well worth watching.
