So I am having an issue with my Palm Centro Smartphone... It's basically only good for using as a paperweight right now. I figured I'd reach out to this tiny little community to see if any of you have any phone knowledge, because quite frankly, I'd like to chuck my phone out of the window. :<

SO, I have had this phone for about a year. It has been working perfectly fine up until a couple of days ago. It has decided that it does not like my room, my house, and my neighborhood.
I get no service anywhere around my house nor at my boyfriend's house (who lives a good 20-30 minutes away). BUT, I do get service at school. (most areas of the school anyways, 1st floor is sketchy)
It isn't a problem with my provider, because all my siblings have AT&T and they are not having this problem.
It isn't a problem with my SIM card, because I can still access my contacts & pictures stored on the card.
My battery is full.
I have taken my battery out & put it back in.
I have taken my SIM card out & put it back in.
I have restarted my phone.

I don't understand why I don't get service in or around my house when I had no troubles before....
But I get full bars at my school which is 10 minutes down the street...

Anyone have any ideas? :<

Contact phone company? You pretty much narrowed down to the phone itself.

Googles for issues similar to this to your specific phone?

I've went through like 8 pages of people with palm centro problems and apparently no one has the same issue as me.. it's all "it wont turn on" & "I dropped mine in water and now it won't work"...
Guess I'll just have to take it in :<

Sometimes what they will recommend if you call is to update your phone. I'm on verizon so I don't know how AT&T works, but if you can figure out how to update give it a try.

Just to tell you, I have always had this problem with cell phones. I'll be sitting next to someone on the same plan as me and I have no service when they do. I've tried many different phones. So it's not the service, or the phone. It's really annoying. I think I have a crazy EM field around me. Maybe try testing for that?

I swear I've repaired about 8 different technological devices in my life simply by physically beating the living piss out of the item. I suggest you take a shit on your phone. Shake some pepper on your shitty phone. Throw it out the window. Let your dog shit on it. Using gloves, pick up the double shitty phone. Play fetch with Koda. Go to an ally. Rape your phone. Go buy a sketchy white van from your nearest Nissan dealer. Enter the van. Give your phone candy. Rape your phone. Send of all your contacts pictures of you raping your phone. I told you I get no service... Gawd you're a horrible listener!!

Anyways... my phone is jacked up... even when I DO get service, it refuses to send text messages or call anyone. When I text it gives me an error saying my phone was unable to connect to the network, even though I have 4 bars... -.-
Yesterday I also tried letting my battery go dead to see if that would change anything and no luck.
Basically, throwing it out the window or against a wall is lookin' pretty good right now :<

Might be a bit more successful if you have someone actually LOOK at and possibly REPAIR it, as opposed to just breaking it...
