Also, the q6600 is well known for how well it Overclocks. If you look here http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2007/07/25/overclocking_intel_core_2_quad_q6600/3 you will see some attempts and professional review of overclocking it. And for your information, I have the same MoBo.

So yes, I can OC to 3.2. I usually bring it down to 3.0 unless I'm doing anything seriously hardcore, but I've kept it stable at 3.2 for weeks on end at one point.

I have the same cpu so I wanted to over clock it two. The bad thing was my Dell PC locks down that stuff. I cant just goto my bios and change stuff. But I found this pin mod that you can do that will make the q6600 jump to 3ghz. So I tried it (image of my cpu with tap over pin) and well take a look for your self.

I'm sure 2992mhz counts for 3ghz. :P

That Blank bar above my computer information is Launchy. I invite all of you to check it out, as it's the coolest thing. I simply hit Alt+Space, type in their whatever App(Or movie, or song, or whatever else I let it include) I wanna start, press enter and tada! You can have it so it doesn't stay on your desktop and what not of course.

Enlighten Me.
I recently added a second moniter to my computer, as of now it has basically no use, how do i get all that stuff YOU have on the second screen?
Also, just got Launchy. Hehe, this thing rules.

Seifer

Second monitors are infinitely useful. Being able to have two full screen windows open is a blessing.

Also, to try and duplicate what I have going on, I would refer to /wg/ on 4chan. The stickied topic.

Dud just wondering because your desktop is simple like that does that make it load faster when you start your computer up?

On fast PCs like mine there is really no noticeable difference in loading time regarding desktop icons. However, the average PC, and especially slow PCs, and PCs that have near-full hard drives, you'll notice a pretty significant speed increase if you clean up your desktop icons and don't have too many programs running on startup.
