I saw the movie last Saturday. Story nothing special but everything else was. See it in 3D like your suppose to. I will say the worst part was that i had to sit close to the screen waring 2 pares of glasses. But that's not the movies fault.

Mr Pwnage

I saw it today and loved it. Good story and 3d was awesome. Probably one of my favorite movies...

yeah great movie, only thing that i thought was odd, was the made up language (I'm pretty sure) but other then that great movie.

Lucifer

Pretty !@#$ing epic. My sister commented on how absolutely idiotic the main character was the first half of the movie, for example, batting those floating spirits, or introducing himself to the leader like that, but it didn't really bother me personally. As said, the story wasn't anything special, but they did it very well. As for 3D, I saw it in 3D, and they didn't really use it very much except to make it look a little more pretty. It is not necessary, and if you want to save a little money you aren't missing anything.

Yea I just got back from seeing this a couple hours ago. Such a long movie... yea wearing the 3d glasses is annoying and i was also very close to the screen. I had a headache from the 3d glasses after the movie :\. It is a great movie though, especially the battle scenes at the end. I thought it was weird how they used their hair to connect with the animals they used.

Yes, the language was actually invented by a linguist. Same as how the Klingon language from Star Trek or the languages of Lord of the Rings are fully developed languages invented by linguists. I think it's nice that they go to that effort. It makes it less hokey, like in the Star Wars movies how the aliens all just spoke jibberish or they used clips of real world languages.

EpicPhailure

Saw it too. Unlike some people here, I sat at the very back of the theater :P

The only scene that bothered me was the final battle where the *SPOILER*mech pulled out a giant knife while fighting with Jake. Why the hell would you give a mech a giant knife to use as a melee weapon? I don't understand that.*SPOILER*

DarkBlade325

For whatever reason when I heard about this movie coming out, I thought it was based off that Avatar anime or something..

At any rate, havn't seen it yet.

That's what I thought too, and I also thought this movie looked really stupid when I saw the preview, but it is a great movie.

That's not surprising, most movie based games suck ass.

Red October

Going to see it after boxing day. Can't wait.

While that's true, I was actually kind of relieved to see a movie in 3d where they didn't so called "exploit" the 3dness. Was cool they just had it for depth and good tone to the film without making all that pop out shit. Honestly, stuff like that gets annoying after a while. And I will say, they have gotten MUCH better at 3d. Anyone remember stuff like Spy Kids 3d where they had the glasses with blue and red lenses? I hated that...completely ruined the color of the movie and they didn't work all that well.
Also back on the actual movie...I thought the story was pretty well done actually. I liked the message it carried. I think there was an awesome line in there: "The humans have already destroyed their planet, and now they are going to do the same to this one." The whole idea that there are beings outside of our planet who aren't evil aliens, but natives who love the values of life and don't destroy things like us humans today do. Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it...but I loved that aspect of the movie.

The story was a clich?. Its nothing you have not seen before or can easily perdict.

Greedy people want the resources from the planet. The scientist want to study the planet. Scientist and natives beat out greedy people. They live happly ever after.

The story there to give some justfaction to show off the really good cgi. Still a good movie tho.

DarkTrinity

I just found out today that one of my cousins was one of the main people working on the graphics in that movie.
